Day 1:Transfer from Cuiabá airport to Pocone (100 km), then further on the Transpantaneira to the UeSo-Pousada Pantanal. On this part of the Transpan- taneira you can already see some birds, caimans and capybara. At the Pousada we welcome you with a fine drink followed by lunch or dinner (depending on your time of arrival). If you arrive for lunchtime we take you on an animal observation tour after the traditional siesta. Dinner is served at the UeSo-Pousada Pantanal where you also stay overnight. Day 2: After breakfast we ride through the wonderful scenery of the Pantanal on horseback (the horses are gentle, well trained and gladly carry even beginners and elderly persons). Lunch is served at 12:30 in the UeSo-Pousada Pantanal. After lunch we continue our journey on the to the Pousada Puma-Lodge with light luggage (we leave whatever luggage is not needed in the UeSo-Pousada Pantanal). Of course we will also observe animals in this part of our journey. After arrival at the Pousada Puma-Lodge we try to creep up on animals in the vicinity. Dinner and overnight stay is at the Pousada Puma-Lodge. Day 4: The program of the 4th day is the same as the day before with the exception that we have to take along our luggage because we do not return to the Puma-Lodge. At 4:30 p.m. we drive back on the Transpantaneira to the UeSo-Pousada Pantanal (again, we can observe all sorts of animals on the way) where we have dinner and stay for the night. Day 5: After breakfast we take the horses for another ride in search for animals. With luck we can see toucans, rheas, Jabirus, coatis or even anteaters. There is also a great chance to see caimans, as they like to gather in this area. After lunch and the usual siesta we walk to an observation tower from where we hope to spot howler and/or capuchin monkeys. Day 6: After breakfast transfer to the airport, or, if time allows, another horseback ride or a boat trip on the Rio Claro.
