UeSo-Cerrado / Chapada / UeSo-Pantanal

Excursions

Day 1: Transfer from Cuiabá-Airport to UeSo-Cerrado. After check-in you will enjoy a fine welcome drink. Depending on your arrival time, we´ll take a little tour by foot or by horse  troughout the Dry-Cerrado.

Day 2: Departure to Chapada passing Cuiabá. Chapada is a highland with lots of cliffs, numerous springs and crystal clear waterfalls. It´s the geographical centre of South  America. There are a lot of legends around Chapada. Some people even say that  they have seen UFO´s there.(for the complete travel program see “Chapada excursion”) In the evening we return to UeSo-Cerrado.

Day 3: After having breakfast we get through wide framlands to the goldmine town of Poconé.  Afterwards, we drive on the famous Transpantaneira to our Pousada UeSo-Pantanal.  The Transpanteneira gives us a good opportunity to observe a lot of animals such caimans, capybaras, storks, etc. After check-in in our Pousada lunch will be served to you. During a siesta you have enough time to relax and  recover abaout this interesting drive. Later in the afternoon we explore the nature by foot.

Day 4: Early in the morning, before breakfast we will go for a walk to observe animals.  After breakfast we will take a boat trip on the Rio Claro. You will have the possibility of fishing  piranhas. If we are lucky we are going to be able to see a giant Brazilian otter. We then return for lunch. In the afternoon, we go south on the Transpantaneira in direction of Porto Jofre. Jacarés (caimans), Tuiuius (jaburus),  egrets andmay other animalsand birds is what we shall be able to observe.

Day 5: After breakfast horse riding (even for beginners; with tame horses) is planned. We ride towards the woods to observe a marvellous fauna. Afternoon we’ll go for  a walk, to observe some animals. With a little luck, we’ll see different kinds of monkeys.

Children: until 5 years in the parents-room free; 6 - 11 years 50 % .

Very important:

During the dry season (June-September) there will be many more wild animals to see. During the rain season (October-May), nature has its own charm and makes the trip even exciting.   

From 01st November - 01stMarch fishing is forbidden!
